Well here we are, the first day of 2013! Funny how time flies by eh? Before we jump with both feet into the year ahead, here's a look back at some of my personal highlights from 2012...
Ciaran and I started planning our wedding (and now it's only three months away? What!?).
I was lucky enough to do some travelling and visited beautiful Wales (where I took myself for a walk along the Pennine Way), Portugal, Spain and Ireland.
I baked a enormous chocolate and strawberry cake, Hot Crossed Buns, delicious and wholesome breakfast bars, Lemon Drizzel Cake, a decadent Coffee & Walnut Cake, Rhubarb Cake, Spiced Pumpkin & Chilli Cake, Bannana & Walnut Bread, a 30th Birthday cake to remember, a carrot and beetroot cake decorated with fresh flowers, Almond & Rose Sugar Shortbread, a Victoria Sponge, a carrot cake decorated with piped buttercream roses.
I started my own business and called it Chloe Bakes Cakes
I discovered the best brunch recipe of all time, my favourite ever salad and the perfect home made breakfast cereal.
I got into the Olympic Spirit, celebrated the Queens Diamond Jubilee and organised the mother of all cake competitions at our Jubilee Street Party.
I also carved pumpkins for Halloween, tried on some amazing vintage wedding dresses, invented a cocktail. went to Latitude Festival for the first time and wore my DIY Flower Crown,
I'm so please that I started this little blog as a way of documenting all these little things that I otherwise might have forgotten! Here's to a making another years worth of memories in 2013!
