Monthly resolutions: February 2013

Last month I focused on eating well, clearing out and re-organising my wardrobe and catching up on all the bits and pieces of life admin which I had brushed aside over the festive period (hello new passport!). Now the challenge is to keep these things going whilst also tackling a new set of resolutions for February!

February is a month for...

Getting back in the kitchen - After a month of soups, pulses and greens I'm so ready to get baking again! I'll be kicking things off with a lovely recipe for a vibrant Seville Blood Orange cake a little later on in the week.

Embracing colour - The first bunches of daffodils are popping up on the flower stalls and the garden is no longer covered in snow. Time to bring some colour into the house I think! This month I want to have flowers in each room and bright pink nail polish on each toenail as a reminder that Spring is just around the corner.

Getting out of doors - After a cosy, quiet start to the year I'm just about ready to dust off my walking boots and rain coat. Remember there is no such thing as bad weather, just unsuitable clothing!

Clearing out the cupboards - Next up on my to do list are our many cupboards which were rather hastily filled when we moved in back in November. Now it's time to think about how to make better use of our space. I'm looking forward to sharing the inspiration behind my organisation as well as a few tips and tricks of my own over the coming weeks!

  1. I think is really good to start to set up small monthly resolutions, rather than wish for a big change in january, best of look this month :)

    1. Thank you! They're going well so far - I think it's easier to stay motivated when you're taking things a few weeks at a time! :)
