Cornwall for a week! We're staying in a little holiday flat belonging to my Great Aunty in the pretty fishing village of Padstow (made popular in recent years by the well known and much beloved TV chef Rick Stein). Padstow is very dear to me as not only is it where my Mum's side of the family hail from, it's where my Mum and I spent all our Summer holidays (and a good few Christmases too!) every year since the year I was born. Ciaran and I worked out earlier that in actual fact I've spent nearly an entire year of my life here in Padstow!
The last couple of months have been the absolute busiest of my life with cake orders rolling in as well as back to back trips away and visits from friends. It's safe to say I've been burning the candle at both ends and literally have not stopped for weeks and weeks. This holiday could not have come at a better time!
Now we're here I'm so looking forward to showing Ciaran around this special part of the world, cooking up some lovely seafood, going for long blustery walks along the coast, showing off my crabbing skills and most of all, seeing if I can still surf (or if I'm even brave enough to get in the sea!). I'm also looking forward to catching up with some blogging bits and pieces - I've got photos to edit and posts to finish and am hoping that this time next week I'll be bang up to date and ready to return to real life rested and raring to go! In the meantime I'm going to be stretching out this last week of Summer as long as possible!
